Queensland Government digital capability
Proof of concept
The CDSB Digital Capability Team is testing an end-to-end approach to assess Queensland public sector digital capability and connect development needs with practical learning pathways.
A cross-agency cohort is expected to participate in late 2026. Findings may inform future decisions about a scalable digital capability solution. No future solution or investment has been determined.

About the proof of concept
The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business is exploring how assessment, capability baselining and targeted learning pathways could support digital capability uplift across Queensland Government.
CDSB has developed an assessment tool to help participating Queensland Government employees understand their current capabilities against DigComp 3.0.
The proof of concept will test whether this approach can identify capability strengths and development needs, support applied learning and provide useful evidence for workforce planning.
Participation will be coordinated by the Digital Capability Team. The work is exploratory and does not commit Queensland Government to a future platform, service or investment.
